Measures to support accessibility

Anti-Racist & Inclusive Kids takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of ARI Kids:

  • Include accessibility as part of our mission statement.

  • Include accessibility throughout our internal policies.

  • Include people with disabilities in our design personas

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. ARI Kids is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

ARI Kids is not compatible with:

  • Mobile operating systems older than 5 years are not expected to be compatible or work with the content of our site.

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of ARI Kids , there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.

Known limitations for ARI Kids:

  1. Although ARI Kids makes every effort to keep our content 100 percent accessible we are not able to modify comments from users.: Uploaded images may not have text alternatives. because We cannot ensure outside contributions to site content is published to meet WCAG standards. . We monitor user comments and typically suggest they be adjusted to be more inclusive. . Please message ARI Kids admin directly through the website or via email antiracistandinclusivekids@gmail.com in order to bring any issues to our attention. .

Formal complaints

Formal complaints may be addressed to Anti-Racist & Inclusive Kids via email at antiracistandinclusivekids@gmail.com. The message must be addressed to our Communications Department,contain a description of the issue, the location it was observed (website or social media), the date it was observed, and a good way for ARI Kids to contact you. You must allow 2 business days for ARI Kids to formally respond to your complaint.
